Latex packaging may be dangerous for those people allergic to it. According to a UK study, one third of food packaging is usually contaminated with latex. The latex easily does mix with the food in most cases. <\/p>\n

The researchers from UK Latex Allergy Support Group (LASG) Advisory Panel said that natural rubber latex is a very potent allergen for some people. <\/p>

There is no any directive existed of a safe level of latex. It is reported that a billionth of a gram (1ng\/ml) might be enough to cause a reaction. <\/p>\n

The researchers have measured the presence of four major latex allergens in 21 types of food packaging for several food products such as confectionary, fruit and vegetable produce, meat, pastry and dairy products.<\/p>\n
