DNA test of urine may help now for the detection of cancer, tuberculosis, HIV, malaria and possibly many other diseases too. This may also disclose the rejection by the body mechanism of the transplanted organ before inflammation.<\/p>\n

Almost ten years back, David Tomei, CEO of New York molecular diagnostic company Xenomics, with his colleagues was concluded that short fragments of DNA from throughout the body could cross the kidney’s filters into urine.<\/p>

Xenomics has the new plans to submit its medicinal findings of the diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis with the help of this method to the FDA in the coming year.<\/p>\n

It also has the planning to release kits for the other researchers worldwide for their own genetic studies of urine.<\/p>\n

According to Tomei, the tests may also disclose the genetic condition of fetuses in the urine of their mothers. This will be helpful for the prenatal tests for diseases such as Down’s syndrome. <\/p>\n
