Two studies conducted recently have evinced that monthly eye injections <\/strong>of the drug lucentis <\/strong>can amazingly improve eyesight of the people with macular degeneration<\/strong>, which is the major cause of blindness in the older people.<\/p>\n

In the first study it was found that the 477 volunteers who received monthly injections of lucentis<\/strong> their eyesight<\/strong> improved to such an extent that they were now able to read one another line of the eye chart, which was earlier not possible for them.<\/p>

In second study too that included 280 people lucentis affected positively. But the major concern is about the cost of this medicine because it is quite expensive and costs about $1,950<\/strong> and only time will tell how far this new study moves on.<\/p>\n
