Europe’s biggest tobacco<\/strong> market, Germany <\/strong>is soon going to frame some laws that snip the freedom to smoke in public areas<\/strong> like restaurants, discos, schools and other public buildings. However, this law will not target smoking in places like pubs, bars or beer tents.<\/p>\n

Germany has jumped into this campaign grudgingly that had been started by countries like Britain, Ireland and Italy; even then, it is a commendable step. According to an estimate, a third of Germans smoke regularly and Germany has the highest percentage of young smokers if compared with her neighboring countries.<\/p>

It is good that slowly but steadily more and more countries are joining this campaign, aiming to discourage smoking, but it would be better to ban it everywhere.<\/p>\n
