I think cancer<\/strong> is such a disease that requires not only profound medication but also a lion’s share of time as well. Yes, you got it right; time that most of us usually run short of.<\/p>\n

According to the statistics available: <\/strong><\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> a patient undergoing cancer treatment for ovarian cancer spends minimally about 368 hours in the first year of his diagnosis, and
\n2.<\/strong> a patient with lung and kidney cancer has to spend about 272 and 193 hours respectively<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, these hours include only the period of active treatment, excluding the time a cancer patient spends couching in his bed. The whining of these cancer patients doesn’t end here because even after undergoing a long time-consuming treatments meant to target deadly cancer, there is no certainty that patients would be released from the pangs of the deadly disease.<\/p>\n

I often hear people saying that a patient with cancer should have firm resolution and determination. However, I fail to understand that how can a person who is forced to leave all joys of this world can constantly try to move on with his life and how can and for how long he or she can feel relaxed under the threat of cancer that constantly hang over his head like to the sword of Damocles. Apparently, the enormous time that the treatment of deadly cancer longs for actually kills the will power and the commitment of the patient to fight it out.<\/p>

We must not forget that time is not the only requirement that cancer treatment craves for but money is also devoured by it and that too quite prodigally, ultimately leaving a person financially wrecked.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Cancer takes not much time to make its victim realize that he is being driven towards his death that too very fast and at the same time it turns a patient’s situation so vulnerable that he becomes a burden not only on himself but also on those who surrounds him.<\/p>\n

If you see the whole scenario in the light of these situations, then would you still say that cancer patient should keep hoping against hope? Would that not be like a chimera, if it is not an illusion, then what would you call it? However, keeping in mind the latest medical advancements, we can only hope to detect the root causes as early as possible and plug the disease because it becomes a monster.<\/p>\n
