If women with a certain type of breast cancer are given drug Herceptin<\/strong> along with using standard chemotherapy then their chances of survival are comparatively higher. This belief has been expounded through an article published in the issue of The Lancet. This article further says that about 15-25 per cent of the women with early breast cancer have a type called HER2-receptor positive disease and use of Herceptin<\/a> has shown quite significant results. Before digging out this conclusion researchers tracked about 1703 women with breast cancer and found that women who were given Herceptin along with using chemotherapy their survival rates were comparatively higher when compared with other women.<\/p>

Earlier too a report stated that if Herceptin is used along with Adriamycin then wonderful results could be achieved in our fight against breast cancer and now this new study too harps on that string. However, still it would be too early to give an opinion on it but one thing can really be said that if facts propounded by this study come out true then it would really be a very powerful concussion for deadly breast cancer.<\/p>\n
