Report, unveiling that during the past three decades the number of male births has decreases startlingly in the U.S. and Japan,<\/strong> is quite shocking because it points to a serious threat hovering over the population balance in these countries. As per the findings of this study, where in the U.S. the decline in male births is equivalent to 135,000 fewer white males in the U.S. while this decline was 127,000 in Japan over the past three decades.<\/p>

However, what exactly has led to this decline in male births is not very clear. However, experts opine that factors like change in environment, parents giving births to in later age, etc. are possibly playing a role behind this decline in male births. <\/strong>Analyzing this worsening situation Dr. Davis remarks that it can be that environmental factors, such as prenatal exposure to endocrine-disrupting environmental pollutants are affecting the SRY gene<\/a><\/strong>. Actually, SRY gene is the gene on the Y chromosome that determines the sex of a fertilized egg. Besides this, factors like environmental change, capability of a male fetus, which is determined by factors like parents’ weight, nutrition, and use of alcohol and drugs also play a significant role in affecting SRY gene.<\/p>\n

Deploring over this problem won’t be right at this point of time, but it would be far better if we manage to carve out a strategy to check this decline in male births, otherwise situation, which is looking smaller at this time may take a horrific mien.<\/p>\n
