Point of Service (POS) is a plan, which offers to reduce your medical costs by offering you a limited choice. In a POS plan, you are offered a range of physicians from their network of physicians. You need to choose your primary health care provider from the network. They act as your point of service and you can avail medical benefits for their service.<\/p>

The primary physician can make referrals to physicians outside the network. However, your insurance company may offer only some compensation in such cases. The copayments in this case will be higher. Also, all the paperwork and the formalities will be your responsibility and you need to meet the criteria and guidelines given by your insurance plan. While in case of network physicians all documents are completed for you.<\/p>\n
