It detects both diabetes and pre-diabetes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"t-black11\">Oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT):&nbsp;This test is performed after 8 hours of fasting and 2 hours after consuming a glucose-containing beverage. This test also detects diabetes and pre-diabetes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"t-black11\">Random plasma glucose test:&nbsp;Also called a casual plasma glucose test, which is performed to measure blood glucose regardless of being any food intake. (medical device) is commonly used to determine the concentration of glucose in the blood instantly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HbA1c test:<br \/><\/strong><br \/>HbA1c is the minor component of hemoglobin to which glucose is bound. It is also called glycosylated or glucosylated hemoglobin. HbA1c levels depend upon the concentration of blood glucose, i.e. higher the glucose concentration in blood, higher the level of HbA1c. It helps to monitor the effects of diet, exercise, and drug therapy on blood glucose levels.<\/p>\n<p>HbA1c level &gt;7% of total hemoglobin indicates that the person is healthy or non-diabetic.
