\nEconomic boom in China<\/strong> has no doubt bestowed this country with economic prosperity; however, this economic prosperity has been established on the foundation of ecological destruction<\/strong><\/a>, which has left this country with smoggy cities, black rivers, growing desertification. And this very imbalance in atmosphere or ecology has exposed Chinese people to several life threatening health problems, in which deadly cancer tops the list.<\/p>\n

This fact sprang out from a recent government survey, in which deadly cancer topped the list of the 10 most lethal diseases for urban residents last year<\/strong>. As per the findings of this survey, air and water pollution, that includes irrational use of pesticides and food additives are the main culprit behind this much or rise in cancer cases. Holding pollution responsible for this increased susceptibility to cancer, Chen Zhizhou, a health expert with the cancer research institute said:<\/p>

The main reason behind the rising number of cancer cases is that pollution of the environment, water and air is getting worse day by day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The biggest threat of lung cancer is arising from air pollution, as harmful granules enter the lungs and don’t get an exit, which ultimately paves way for deadly cancer. Facts, leaping out of this survey are really, horrendous, however, this is not for the first time when confounding problem of pollution in China has come to the fore, as some previous studies have also expressed their concern over the rising pollution-graph in this country, which is fast gobbling up the environmental heritage of this country and thus giving way to lots of environmental problems<\/strong>, and finally to health problems.<\/p>\n

However, to blame only industrial development for this rise in pollution level won’t be right, as irrational use of pesticides and food additives is also playing a key role in this.<\/p>\n

Therefore, government as well as people of China will have to ruminate over this fast growing problem; otherwise, situation would turn irremediable.<\/p>\n
