Under the first study, experts surveyed two groups of people:-<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8226;<\/strong> Group (275 people) with bladder cancer<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8226;<\/strong> Group (875 people) without bladder cancer<\/p>\n<p>These people were particularly enquired about their consumption of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cruciferous_vegetables\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>cruciferous vegetables<\/strong><\/a> like broccoli and cabbage, known for having high concentration of compounds called <a href=\"https:\/\/curezone.com\/art\/read.asp?ID=100&amp;db=5&amp;C0=17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>isothiocyanates<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; known to lower cancer risk. Finally, experts concluded that, apart from smokers, non-smokers having at least three servings of raw cruciferous vegetables in a month were 73 % less susceptible to bladder cancer.<\/p><div class=\"4a90ee8f0cea4b4c96057cc051b7c66d\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/medical-tourism\/marketing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/medical-tourism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/12\/Medical-Tourism-Post-Ad-2.jpg\"><\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>However, cooked cruciferous vegetables didn&#8217;t show similar results, which proves that cooking destroys anti-cancer properties, if not completely so partially, at least. In the words of Dr. Li Tang, team leader of the study:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Cooking can reduce 60 to 90 percent of ITCs, (isothiocyanates)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bringing similar results, another study showed that progression of bladder cancer halted significantly when rats engineered to develop bladder cancer were fed on broccoli sprouts.<\/p>\n<p>Both these studies provide enough evidences to show that going vegetarian may significantly truncate the threat of cancer.
