Peripheral Artery Disease works in two versions

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) curses about twelve million Americans in the US. It is a kind of artery blockage, which causes heart attacks when it occurs in the heart’s blood vessels. A new research discovers critical differences between PAD that affects large blood vessels and the version that affects small blood vessels.

Dr. Michael H. Criqui, a professor of medicine at the University of California, says, small vessel risk is completely connected to diabetes, while other things affect large vessel risk. The two versions of PAD show different symptoms. Large leg vessels usually make painful cramps that senses in the hips, thighs or calves. It relieves after some rest. The small-vessel version gives the cool senses in the feet. It makes slow heal after injury.
