6 more human cases of H5N1 confirms in Indonesia

According to the World Health organization (WHO), six more human cases have found in Indonesia. Three of the cases are deadly. 224 human cases are now confirmed until now across the world and 48 occurred in Indonesia only. Out of 48 cases, 36 are said to be fatal. Among six human cases, four were exposed to bird feces, but how the remaining two contracted with the virus is under question.

Experts are looking in this matter if there is any possibility of human-to-human transmission. The six new cases are not related to a previous reported seven cases in a family. WHO has said the virus in that cluster may have been spread by human-to-human contact. Researchers are suspecting about that genetic cause too, because in that family caught by H5N1, but spouses did not get sick.
