When the drink and the Mentos are mixed together, it creates a huge force which pushes the car against a wall braced with 3,600 lbs of cement blocks and the car moves forward. The previous record for the coke-plus-Mentos propelled car was around 217 and the duo tried to improve upon it by creating a Mark II variant of the car, which comes laced with better aerodynamics and boasts of a lighter frame. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The car used the same heady mix of Diet Coke and Mentos though this time around it traveled up to an impressive 239 feet, which apparently is a record. We have no clue how many people out there are trying to create drag cars using Coke and Mentos, but the record is impressive nonetheless.
