By calling Neil French’s sexist remarks ‘unacceptable’ Sir Martin Sorrel, chief of world’s largest advertising and communication firm expressed deep grief and apologized on behalf of his creative director.
Neil French whose chauvinist remarks provoked a debate in the advertising industry and outside of it infuriated women workers all over the world. Commenting further on this matter one of Britain’s most successful advertising guru said that was about gender equality and lack of diversity and ‘we have to get more balance’ here.
Nancy Vonk, creative director at WPP owned Ogilvy and Mather (O&M) welcomed Sorrel’s comments as his inner thoughts. This time she balanced it without overdoing it, I think.
