This mystifying print advertisement campaign was launched in Philippines to promote Tolnaftate cream, which is used to cure fungal infections. The campaign though seems to outline the fact that the product enables a person to remain free from fungal infection. The advertisements are showing some situation where knees and feet are compelled to be exposed. It shows people praying in the Church and indulged in yoga session. The idea was to convey that to remain comfortable in these situations this product can be immensely useful.
However, the product benefit has not been well focused in the campaign and there were ample room for improvement in order to emphasize benefit of the product. The presentation of the campaign is not that easy to understand the core idea of the advertisement as it has left the idea to be interpreted by the people. The text of the campaign reads, ‘For athlete’s foot and other fungal infections. Tough on fungi. Gentle on skin.’ The campaign was developed by DM9-JaymeSyfu, Philippines.
