TiVo will now develop TV advertising search service for Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). Focused advertising gets a new name as the subscribers will be able to tailor the incoming adverts. Viewers will also be able to find the required ad in a segment specific way or by keywords. In the process advertisers will get an instant feedback about the effect and also able to know whom they are actually pitching.
Earlier it snatched many advertisers sleep when DVR users started skipping adverts in a big way. This new initiative will surely bring in some hope to them. And the best part is more like Google’s targeted self select ad search via keyword or product categories this one will only stream targeted ads that the consumer wants to have a look at.
