For the sake of reference, let me just coin the word âChurchvertisingââ. We have seen recently advertising efforts by Church (not only Catholics) which are rather bold or bound to make controversy. The recent example is the billboard which dragged Joseph and Mary to the bed of controversies.
This print advertising campaign from The United Church of Canada also goes the extra mile, though not so controversial one as the one we have linked earlier. The campaign features nudists, an escaped convict a member of the Russian ice hockey team.
The copy reads- âWeâre just glad you could make it. Norval United Church. Our Doors Are Open.â
The message, prepared by Emerging Spirit, is designed for people who fear that they may not be accepted.
