The veteran Ted Leonsis, AOL’s Vice Chairman and president of the AOL’s audience business has decided to resign his operational duties. He is likely to resign in the beginning of next year, however, he will continue with his current position as Vice chairman. Leonsis was among those veterans who had helped this company to revive its advertising revenue. With the latest decision, a major reshuffle is now on the cards and the reshuffle will probably be made in the wake of AOL’s decision of doing away with subscription fees for its broadband user in order to keep their users intact.
Leonsis had informed his staff of his decision via email stating that he has taken this decision due to his willingness to pursue many other projects and interests. Now he will be focusing his core interest in sports team ownership, philanthropic pursuits and film production.
