Nitro, the advertising agency behind Tourism Queensland’s hugely successful “best job in the world” campaign, has been acquired by Sapient Corp., a Boston based digital marketing and consulting firm.
Nitro was behind the successful campaign for Tourism Queensland which comprised of a classified ad seeking applicants for an “island caretaker” with a salary of £73,000.The campaign created world wide responses and attracted much media glare. The job went to “ostrich-riding, bungee-jumping” charity worker Ben Southall from Hampshire.
Nitro, a privately held company based in New York, has operations in North America, Europe, Australia, and China and lists Volvo, Nike, Foot Locker, and others as clients. With this acquisition, it will be rebranded as SapientNitro.
