This is an interesting print advertisement launched by Sanyo to promote its latest range of LCD televisions. The advertisement focuses at emphasizing one of its specific features of two channels appearing on the screen simultaneously at one point of time. The idea was exaggerated taking inspiration from Hindu mythology. The advertisement is based on the concept of ardhanareshwar (half man and half woman in single body). The idea was to draw similarity as in this mythological concept brings two distinct features at single platform; this product too acts in a similar fashion, bringing two channels on screen simultaneously.

The presentation of the advertisement is definitely simpler for the targeted consumers as they are familiar with the prevailing mythological concept. Moreover, it was actually a very good idea to present the idea in a distinctive and effective manner. The text of the advertisement reads, ‘One Screen. Two Channels.’ The advertisement was developed by Triton Communications, Bangalore, India.
