Saatchi & Saatchi UK has bought an unnamed four member pop girl band who can be ‘used’ by clients to promote their brands. Saatchi & Saatchi will give the band a new name, the song style and lyrics. Not only, that the agency will also decide what they will wear, drink and eat.
Just wondering, it’s only the other day I reported about Scottish rocker Franz Ferdinand who turned down $50 million advertising offer in the fear of losing its identity.
Don’t the unnamed band (not will be anymore after the shows get a start off) girls have anything to say on this?
No, they won’t. Because Sarah-Jane Crawford, 24, a marketing executive at a law firm; Mercedes Gomez, 22, a personal assistant; Jane Thompson, 25, a club promoter; and Chanel Edwards, 23, a marketing executive at a magazine, all have been selected by the advertising agency after they answered to the advert in the newspaper given by the agency.
