Ridley Scott, one of Hollywood’s most successful directors has his past catching up on him. The TV commercial he shot for Hovis bakery way back in 1974 once again resurfaces to be voted Briatin’s favorite ad.
The ad features a cloth-capped 14-year-old Carl Barlow (now a fireman in Islington, North London) pushing his heavily laden bike up the cobbled street in Shaftesbury with the tunes of Dvorak’s New World Symphony in the background.
You can catch the ad for just 10 days from May 10. Sorry, I could not include the video here. If some fortunate soul do succeed in getting it, please do share.
