Kids who could afford PlayStations definitely do not know the pangs of hunger that millions of children endure throughout the globe. To tutor children about the problems associated with global poverty, the Department for International Development (DFID) of the UK Government has developed an online game christened âRace Against Global Povertyâ. The game involves a series of multiple-choice questions on poverty and philanthropy that helps the animal avatars to move through the game. It is a common refrain that elimination of poverty is no childâs game but perhaps DFID feels that a game is the only way of spreading the spirit of philanthropy among children to help them become better global citizens.
