Queensland’s Premier Peter Beattie is not very pleased about the idea of using an ill-famed killer Mark ‘Chopper’ Read to condemn rapist and abusive men in a privately funded community service ad. Though the intention was good, yet, the Premier rightly believes that violence should be fought only through peace. He stated, ‘If you want to reduce violence then you’ve got to actually change people’s attitudes towards violence’. The premier has requested all media outlets to boycott the ad.
