This is yet another fascinating print advertisement published in public interest to create awareness against shark killings. Ocean Protection Commune has launched this advertisement in an effort to put a check on the killings of shark, which is inviting catastrophic problem in near future, if the killings are not checked. The advertisement is quite insightful but it’s not that lucid to understand. However, with the help of the text used in it one can conclude that it is really a thought provoking advertisement. The advertisement interestingly showing dark catastrophic clouds hovering over the sea and many sharks could be spotted in that dark cloud.
The message in a nutshell is that if the killings of shark, which are now being killed in threatening numbers for soups and other products, not stopped, it would result in destruction of other natural resources and would bring frequent hurricanes. The presentation of the ad though is photogenic but it’s difficult to understand the concept or the idea without reading the copy. The tag line of the advertisement reads, ‘Shark fin soup kills’.
