No pot leaves in Facebook ads

In an incident which can be seen as one of its significant policy hints, Facebook has censored the image of a pot leaf from an ad campaign which calls for the legalization of marijuana use. Facebook has banned the image of pot leaves on the grounds that it may promote smoking habits among young people.

The Just Say Now campaign aks to “End the war on marijuana” called on users to sign a petition asking President Barack Obama to support the right of states to legalize marijuana.

However, the ads are not restricted if they do not have the images of pot leaves.
