A recently established company has decided to pay people of New Zealand for receiving text message advertisements. The company, HooHaa, has offered paying 10c into people’s mobile phone account for every text message they would receive from advertisers. As of now the list of advertisers includes TV3, Bond and Bond, the air force and Burger King.

The initiative has received overwhelming response from the consumer as more then 20,000 people have already signed up to the latest services offered. The company is of the view that this is a perfect way for advertisers to reach their consumers, who now spend more time with their mobile phones than television and radio.

The advertising messages would be tailor-made for the consumers as it would be targeted keeping view of the profile of the recipients. Companies on the other hand, have also started sending customized advertising messages to their customers and they are luring people by giving them special offers delivered in the form of a message.
