Community website MySpace, News Corp’s latest acquire will begin selling episodes of Fox’s ’24’ online from next week. In line with Yahoo and Sony’s iTunes, Rupert Murdoch’s MySpace is looking for avenues to transform the service into more profitable venture.
My Space will offer first two episodes for free, which will be sponsored by Burger King Holdings. Otherwise, Keifer Sutherland and Elisha Cuthbert starring, the episodes of ’24’ will be available for $1.99 from seasons one to five.
One of Burger King directors said that since people spend a lot of time on MySpace, the company wanted an advertiser who made it sure that the content resembles more entertainment than sponsored advertising.
