Love Your Eyes – This JulEye!

It is deep – looking deep into your eyes! You could almost call it a love’s labour – 100% love! Developed beautifully by Whybin TBWATequila, Sydney, the JulEye campaign hopes to raise $3.5 million for eye health research projects. It invites viewers to take a moment to appreciate their eyesight. In a scene with parallels to the plastic bag scene from American Beauty, a pedestrian comes across autumn/winter leaves and a shopping bag playing in the breeze. Art director Ben Pearce and copywriter Richard Kahotea, director/editor Boyd Britton (Window Productions), director of photography Hugh Miller and Music composer Hylton Mowday have put in a great effort for the campaign. The VFX of this ad film were developed at Surfaces Rendered, Sydney.

JulEye, an initiative of the Eye Foundation,was launched for the first time this year. It is a month-long campaign designed to own the month of July and firmly place eye health on the Australian health calendar. It is also a prime opportunity for companies to be the first involved in a pioneering and ground-breaking eye health campaign. It is a chance to align with The Eye Foundation and work with this highly regarded organisation to improve eye health.
