Straight symbolism plays a pivotal role in this print campaign for Soleterre. The campaign, developed by H-57 Creative Station (its in Italy), is against war, and it says- Let’s make war an old thing.
Well, most of us do not wish to witness a war. We do not want this relatively peaceful world to thrown into a man-made chaos. So, we do not have any objections with the message. However the way it has been conveyed, is, er, old-fashioned. Oh, I do not mean that such great messages need to be draped in the latest fashionable creativity. But this is too obvious that we usually do not have to take a second look.
The ads feature old soldiers engaged in war. So, they are actually the literal depiction of the message.
