Isreal lacks advertising talent..wonderful

Kevin Roberts loves controversy.Saatchi & Saatchi informs us. His recent comment, Israeli advertisements are all junk is the latest(surely won’t be the last) from the motormouth. All ads are terrible. They are awful, loud, annoying and raucous. There’s no talent in Israel. There are no good ideas. Not a single one would be able to create an emotional relationship with the consumer.

I am simply stunned to hear this. Is it possible? I am not from Israel don’t know their advertising industry. But tell me, is it possible? In a big cultural heritage country like Israel, there is no creative person who can write a good adspot for Saatchi & Saatchi? What’s this crap is all about? Whats this guy trying to establish anyway? Trying to get some free media publicity in the Israeli media? Wants to create an upmarket image?

Things are just not going right for Saatchi & Saatchi and probably the man is not comfortable with it. He needs some cheap instant media publicity by making people down. If Saatchi & Saatchi is fulfilled with creative reservoirs ask this man why British Airways parted with it after 23 years of association.

Ask this man aint his agency creating misleading advertising in the name of creativity? Why Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) of UK supported the complaints and banned PC World’s television campaign.

Brandrepublic reports

the ASA found information to the contrary on the Intel and PC World’s websites and decided PC World had not supplied enough evidence to back up its claim to the BACC.

On the second point, the ASA said “the ad implied that no further equipment would need to be purchase to access the internet”, but it was told by PC World’s customer helpline that items such as a wireless modem and router needed to be purchased separately.

This is crap from Kevin Roberts who grossly overrates him and hid agency.
