All men and women adore lady luck, but all of them watch her suspiciously. Because, luck is always elusive and enigmatic. When one is lamenting that he or she is unlucky, they are complaining about these teasing way of luck. How many times have you wondered -‘why does the bread fall buttered side down?’. It is all chance, and normally human beings are not confident of taking any chance.

This campaign for Intersena lotteries by DDB Brasil, São Paulo, tries to say lot about chance. Three ads which say anything is possible. One of them banks on a negative incident. It compares the chance of the fourth largest US bank falling to the chance of winning a lottery. The bank collapsed, albeit there was a slight chance. And the ad says, ‘well it is possible’. Another one focuses on Obama- ‘Chance of a black man becoming the most powerful man on earth was very meek’- it says. The third one compares chance of a human being winning 14 Olympic gold medals.

All these ads try to glorify the chance of chance. The copy and concept are interesting. The design which seems to be presenting serious information is in contrast with the overall nature of the ad. But this contrast provides a funny touch to these ads. But, winning 14 Olympic medals and a black man becoming us president are not happen by chance. And more than chance, there are solid reasons behind the collapse of the fourth largest American bank.

How much chance is there for this ad to reach the target? Same like a lottery?
