Honda: The power of dreams

Honda had recently launched this television advertisement in UK, where the concept of ‘Hondamentalism’ was introduced through this advertisement. The campaign seems to be highlighting the power of the Honda car’s engine and it was further equated to power of dreams and determination of human beings to keep human touch with the product. The advertisement is showing a few men probably depicting other brands of car including Honda, gathered to brave a strong wind. Out of them only one person is able to brave the wind successfully to reach the ultimate power while everybody else was badly defeated to attain that position.

The core idea of the advertisement is a bit difficult to understand in this enigmatic advertisement. However, the product benefit can be seen at some length in the commercial. Nevertheless, the commercial has been fantastically shot to produce an interesting advertisement. The punch line reads, ‘the power of dreams’, taking the power of the product beyond human imagination. The advertisement was created by Wieden + Kennedy, London.
