European marketers are likely to spend 83 billion Euro on online advertising by the year 2011 says a report released by Internet Retailer. That establishes the fact that the European online advertisement spending will constitute 8.3 percent of total ad spending. According to another report by JupiterResearch search engine marketing in Europe surging ahead at a phenomenal rate.
The search engine marketing is expected to mark the highest growth rate compared to other source of revenue as it is likely to grow at 49 percent by the year 2011. Obviously, as the Internet penetration in Europe is increasing rapidly the ad spending will naturally grow subsequently. Internet penetration is expected to reach 58 percent compared to 49 percent in 2005.
