Facebook is undeniably a powerful tool of communication, and it is also true in the case of advertising too. Channels are those prominent players who make use of social networking sites as they know that âcreating the buzzâ is supplementary factor in the TRP Ratings. Here is the latest example from Discovery Channel, to promote its show The Colony.
The effort was to promote the Season 2 of the survivalist reality show. With this view, Discovery has developed a website- Join the Colony- where real friends will update on how they cope up everyday in a pandemic situation. The site includes video footage from the show, and fake blog posts.
