A Diesel ad featuring a naked man from the rear being straddled by three pairs of woman’s legs was banned by ASA after complaints that the image showed explicit sexual behaviour and can seriously cause widespread offence. The ad received several complaints after it appeared on The Sunday Times Style Magazine.

Diesel, an Italian denim brand on a counter note says that it considers Style Magazine as one of the leading voice of fashion which enjoys a good number of adult readerships. It hoped people would have understood the irony and fun part that the ad tries to convey.

ASA seems to be pretty busy these days with lot of work.

Among the campaigns banned by British advertising prudes are Elle Macpherson’s knickers, Sophie Dahl naked for YSL, Calvin Klein’s “open-mouthed” kiss and Giorgio Armani with children for his baby wear collection
