Sometimes ambient advertisement campaigns display remarkable piece of creativity and this advertisement campaign is no exception to this notion. CityMail, new postal service in Denmark, launched this ambient advertisement with a view to showcasing their flexibility and ability to deliver mail or transport anything and everything. To pursue this idea along with keeping the nature of the service in mind, advertisers decided to transport everything that’s come fit through a letter slot and then assembling those transported articles to produce amazing result. To execute the idea, an empty shop in Central Copenhagen was rented out and over a period of two week’s time, they mailed a Swedish log hut to that address using CityMail service.
A craftsman was stationed inside the shop, who received beams, nails, screws and other building material trough the letter shot to build the log hut. The entire process was filmed using a web-cam to make people follow the building process on firm’s website. According to the advertisers the marketing stunt received considerable media attention in the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian media. The campaign was created by Hjaltelin, Stahl & CO, Denmark.
