Get all the catches on the advertisement. Bulldog, the internet service provider has been asked by Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) to be more upfront about its charges for its broadband services.

What does the ad actually says which angered British Telecom (BT) and other internet service providers to lodge a complaint against Bulldog,

Relax … up to 8 meg broadband only £9.75* £9.75 a month fixed for as long as you are with us. Unlimited Bulldog-to-Bulldog calls included. Offer ends 30th November …”

Here, the asterisk is linked to the small prints at the bottom of the ad. The ad was misleading because new customers in any way have to pay a minimum 10.50 pound per month an in addition to 9.75 pounds a month for a broadband service. ASA upheld the complaint.
