The trade group Alliance of Automotive Manufacturers which represents nine automakers, plans to kick off a multi million dollar advertising campaign. The campaign will spotlight the industry’s promise to alternative fuels.
The campaign will try to recast the industry’s image as it is constantly attacked by environmentalists, public and some oil companies for being friendly to the ecology.
The ads will be featured in radio, print and internet and will note if the on-road vehicles are hybrids or diesels and whether they can be run on natural gas or not.
Banner ads will also appear on blogs and websites including wonkette.com, redstate.com and corner.nationalreview.com.
