Australia to re-examine junk food ads

The South Australian Government says it will launch a new investigation on how junk food advertising actually affects children’s health. Government health department is worried as obesity rates in South Australia has been increasing at an alarming rate for past few years.

Health minister John Hill says more and more children are suffering from health related problems because they are too fat.

He further says that approximately on average a child in Australia get to see 77 such ads. The junk food advertising in children’s television is about three times larger than adult television industry.
