Anchor Butter, the New Zealand export dairy product, has launched this television advertisement to promote its brand name in UK. The product is being promoted as the ‘Free Range Butter‘ through TV advertisement using buttercups. The advertisement aims at communicating the free-range positioning of the product. The advertisement is showing buttercups is being passed on in a free-range journey from one person to another. The idea was to invoke emotional aspect of consumers and the wide range journey, which is depicting acceptance of the product.

The brand was once faced ban from European Union but now it has been shot up to UK’s number three butter brand. The advertisement also featured Cole Porter’s song, ‘Don’t fence me in’. The tag line of the advertisement reads, ‘Anchor The Free-Range Butter Co.’ The campaign was created by Clemmow Hornby Inge, London.
