Controversies often help to promote a program in an unconventional way. Sometimes, controversies are deliberately cooked up to promote a book, a television show or a film. However, we are not sure whether this controversy which is brewing over this gossip girl will take a positive turn for the program.
CW networkâs Gossip Girl is based on a series of novels that were written for teenagers, and its main characters are a group of students in high school and college in New York. But parents are not quite happy with the coming episode of Gossip Girl which will feature a sexual threesome with some of the showâs regular characters, a development that the CW has been promoting with the tag line â1 Night 2 Experience 3 Some.â
The Parents Television Council is not amused about this move, and there are many who think that this episode will misguide the impressionable teenagers.
