The thought of Diwali brings along a very simple yet powerful chant in mind, Asato Ma Sad Gamaya, Tamaso Ma Jyotir Gamaya. These two remarkably beautiful lines simply mean, “God, lead us from untruth to truth and from darkness to light.” Read more
Our opinions and views matter a lot and so do the opinions and views of others. Human beings tend to form views and opinions about just anything and everything. The opinions that we form can influence someone else’s thinking to a great extent, and if the opinions and views belong to a reliable person or a credulous source then the magnitude of influence amplifies. Nowadays, the influence of social media has increased so much that every person prefers to consider the views and opinions of other people before doing anything in their respective lives.
Suppose a person is on a lookout for a new Smartphone, he will never go straightaway to the shop and buy one. First of all he would consult his friends and ask them about their views on the cell phone, and then he would search the web for reviews and then finally take a decision of buying that Smartphone. Likewise, when a person starts planning for a vacation, he would never choose a place about which he has not heard some positive reviews, after an intensive research on places and people’s feedback on them, finally one decides a place. Similarly, there are multifarious things about which one prefers to take into consideration the views and opinions of others to be on a safer side.
With Independence Day being just round the corner, most of us would have already thought of revealing the patriotic side of our persona in the best ways possible. But do we really care about the sense of patriotism that engulfs us all after the celebrations are over? Well, with their intent to enquire the pompous display of phony patriotism and accordingly, inspire each and every Indian to celebrate each day as our Independence Day, folks at Muse Movies are set to launch the digital release of their movie – Flag Off, on 14th August.
Being a voracious book reader, I always get a sense of inspiration from Plato’s words of wisdom when he says, “Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” Accordingly, whenever I want my soul to take wings and my existence to fly freely, I hold a book in my hands and start flipping its pages to satiate my desire to learn more about life. And actually, I have been reading 3-4 books a day for quite some years now. Read more
Most of us have experienced ingrown toenails, and we can all attest to the fact that it’s a painful, annoying, and sometimes even debilitating condition. The medical term for ingrown toenails is Onychocryptosis, and it is defined by nail growing straight into one side (or sometimes, both sides) of the bed of the nail, resulting in cuts or abrasions. In some more serious cases, the ingrown toenail results in extra tissue growth and a yellowish liquid discharge. If not treated, an ingrown toenail can also lead to infections and abscesses – sometimes even the loss of the entire toe.
What you should do to cure an ingrown toenail
Fortunately, there are some natural and home remedies for ingrown toenail which you can use in order to cure an ingrown toenail. These include hydrogen peroxide, Epsom salts, apple cider vinegar, and White Flower oil.
- Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide has long been used for minor cuts and scrapes, as it has disinfecting qualities. You can also use it for an ingrown toenail by mixing ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide with water and soaking your affected foot in the solution for about 20 minutes. The mixture makes the skin softer and relieves pain, and it also prevents infection.
- Epsom salts
Epsom salts, also referred to as magnesium sulphate, is a well-known cure for some ailments and conditions. And although there is some dispute on whether Epsom salts really works as home remedies for ingrown toenail or not, it can, at least, soften the area, allowing you to remove the toenail without too much pain and discomfort. Simply mix a heaping tablespoon of Epsom salts with water and soak the foot in the solution for approximately 20 minutes. Do this twice a day.
- Apple cider vinegar
We all know that apple cider vinegar has a wide range of uses, not only for cleaning our surroundings, but cleaning out infections and other illnesses as well. You can use apple cider vinegar for ingrown toenails by mixing it with water (as a soaking solution for the foot) or applying it directly to the affected or sore area. You can even choose to swallow a spoonful of apple cider vinegar to directly mix it with the bloodstream.
- White Flower oil
Whilst most people use White Flower oil to cure and ease headaches and other minor pains, it can also be used for ingrown toenails. The oil, which is a mix of herbal essential oils such as peppermint, lavender, and eucalyptus, can be applied directly to the problem area as well.
There are many other home remedies for ingrown toenail, such as the use of anti-bacterial soap, oregano oil, and lemons. Try at least one of these remedies, and you can benefit from an ingrown toenail cure that works for you.
Threadbare and wretched, the funny little man walked with a limp. He wore a serious look and carried an imposing air and a painted stick that had a funny design as was the face of its owner.A fluffy cotton ball hung loosely from the conical cap that fitted his crown with a slight tilt. His face was done in garish pigments of blue and white and a spherical ball was stuck up at the tip of his nose.”Whack” he smacked himself with the stick he carried on his little ass bump from where in an instant a forceful jet of water raced out drenching the little man to the loud applause from the gallery.

As we get older, it seems like one friend or another is buying a home or moving to a new apartment every week. If you’re soon headed to a housewarming party, you’ll want to make sure you find a gift that will be both heartfelt and practical and this list is sure to help you narrow it down.
Make it Customized
Put in a little extra effort and surprise your new home-owning friends with some personalized gifts that will blend perfectly with their decor. Whether it’s wall art with their names on it, a photo of them printed on a canvas, or some customized pillows for the couch, this is a heartfelt idea they’re sure to love.
House Upkeep
Moving into a new place means new upkeep essentials, and you can take the stress off of your friend’s back for the first month. If they’ve got a lawn to work with, buy them a month’s worth of gardening or landscaping services that will make their yard look its best right after they move in. They may also not be ready to pull out the mop and broom right after sending the U-Haul away, so gift them with a certificate for a cleaning service to make sure the house is as spick and span as it was when they moved in.
A Streaming Service
Help your friends take a load off of working a long week with a subscription to a streaming service that will make movie nights better than before. Whether it’s Netflix, Hulu, or SlingTV, you can find a streaming package that you know your friends will love—whether they’re sports junkies or comedy lovers.
Address Labels
Now that they’re in a new place with a new address, you can make all of their mailing needs a lot easier with a thoughtful personalized address stamp. Sites like Threedesigningwomen.com offer a bevy of customizable stamp options with different graphics and fonts. You can have their names monogrammed along with their address to make their letter sending easier than ever before.
Alcohol with a Twist
While it’s common to bring a bottle of wine or liquor to a housewarming occasion, you can do one better and really impress your friends with a unique but practical item. The Bar10der is an awesome do-it-all bartending tool, designed to help you make any cocktail or spirit combination your heart desires. If your friends are spirit lovers, this is the gift you need to get. This 10-in-one tool boasts a reamer, strainer, jigger, zester, muddler, and more (if you didn’t know what all those terms were, don’t worry because I didn’t either until I found this product). They’ll be bartending aficionados in no time, and you’ll be the one to thank.
A Night of Destressing
Moving is stressful, there’s no way around it, so help your friends work out some of the tension with a gift certificate to a local spa. You can tie the gift certificate to the neck of a wine bottle with a little congratulatory tag for a relaxing treat that they’ll definitely enjoy.
A Cheesy Gift
If they’re going to be entertaining a lot—and I am assuming they will since they are throwing a housewarming shindig—make sure they’re prepared with the perfect cheese board. Every entertainer needs a great one, and you can go above and beyond by getting it etched with their last name or their monogram. Make the present even more useful by providing a selection of dried meats and cheeses to make their first setup easy—they might even spread it out for action at the housewarming party.
A New Community
If your friends have moved to a community and are looking to get involved, grab them a gift certificate to a local event or class that they can take part in. It could be a six-week painting course, a boot camp you know they’ll love, or a gift certificate to a local restaurant hot spot. Any of these ideas will help them get their feet wet in their new area, and make the move even more seamless.
Skip the Grocery Store
The last thing they’re going to want to do after unpacking boxes is head to the store and bring home groceries, so save them some time and compile a bunch of local take out menus. Place them all in this hilarious but practical takeout menu holder from Modcloth.com. This is a great idea for those of us searching for housewarming gifts on a budget, and it will definitely come in handy on the nights where even turning on the oven sounds like way too much work.
