The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum<\/a> has launched this online advertisement campaign in association with Google to create awareness regarding crisis in Darfur. The campaign was launched to enable almost 200 million Google Earth<\/a> users across the globe to see the visuals related to Darfur crisis to have a better understanding of the situation.<\/p>

Crisis in Darfur is the first ever mission of the Museum’s Genocide Prevention Mapping Initiative, which has been entrusted with tasks such as include information on potential genocides constantly allowing citizens, governments, and institutions to access information on carnage in their emerging stages and respond.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Google Earth has adopted an extremely controversial opinion of the Darfur conflict. It unthinkingly equates war with the term ‘genocide’ despite the fact that a United Nations investigation has concluded in 2005 that the term did not apply to the events in Darfur.<\/p>\n
