This is an interesting ambient campaign launched by a Portuguese road safety organization, ACA-M<\/a>, to make people awareness of the safety of pedestrians who are vulnerable to road accidents. The campaign was launched in Lisbon to remind people that victims of road accidents are not always inside the vehicle. The campaign had turned white stripes of zebra crossing into a painted list of dead pedestrians. It was learnt that the initiative exceeded the expectations.<\/p>

The campaign has evidently drawn immediate attention of people who crossed this zebra crossing which was virtually transformed into a memorial. The idea for the campaign was not exactly new as it has been used in earlier campaigns as well, but it has certainly been successful to attract people towards a serious problem. The text informs that one-fourth of car accident victims are pedestrians. The campaign was created by DraftFCB, Lisbon, Spain.<\/p>\n
