The campaign was undertaken with a target to sell 1 million tickets for the series to two markets, Australia and England for the 2006\/2007 cricket series.<\/p>\n<p>The advertisers chose to erect a statue of Shane Warne as he is one player who can upset an English cricket fan more than anyone else. The advertisers constructed a 5-meter high statue of Shane Warne and then it was publicly transported by truck and on foot to the very heart of London, Piccadilly Circus. In addition to it, to add fuel to the fire, the unveiling ceremony was deliberately designed to commemorate the anticipated Australian victory.<\/p><div class=\"cb7893cca652c40442fc9786b3b91706\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/contact\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/digital-marketing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2022\/11\/Dr-Prem-Digital-Healthcare-Web-Development.jpg\" alt=\"Dr Prem Web Design and Development\"><\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The entire process was even filmed and 30-second clippings and documentary were made to be posted on websites. The main strategy was to make the campaign highly provocative, draw controversy and stir up rivalry in two countries in separate hemispheres. The campaign has met the desired success as it helped selling out 1.275 million tickets for the season. The campaign received extensive media attention not only in England and Australia but in India and France as well.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was created by George Patterson Y&amp;R.
