Advocacy group 11.11.11\u00e2\u0080\u0099s international campaign for decent work was launched in January 2007. The recent video is part of the series. The Belgian campaign in Dutch and French includes videos, a website, and radio PSAs. Everybody involved in the project contributed for free.<\/p>\n

Here is the touching conversation of the two radio PSAs. The translation taken directly from Osocio<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

PSA One:<\/em>
\n – Can I help you?
\n – I\u00e2\u0080\u0099d like to buy a batch of telephone operators.
\n – For use in sales or as a helpdesk?
\n – It\u00e2\u0080\u0099s actually for a promotional campaign.
\n – In that case I would rent, I\u00e2\u0080\u0099ve got some really good men from eastern China\u00e2\u0080\u00a6<\/p>

PSA Two:<\/em><\/p>\n

– Excuse me sir.
\n – What can I do you for?.
\n – I heard you\u00e2\u0080\u0099re selling cheap Polish labourers\u00e2\u0080\u00a6

\nIndeed, it\u00e2\u0080\u0099s an excellent idea, similar to other campaigns launched by 11.11.11. The BBDO concept gives way to larger than life imagery. However, do you really think that \u00e2\u0080\u0098pity\u00e2\u0080\u0099 can be used successfully to inspire? It\u00e2\u0080\u0099s all about selling services. Service is the real end, we\u00e2\u0080\u0099re mere means. Instead of this, combating and encouragement to fight it in the face could only put an end to the so-called undignified work culture. For example, a dialogue depicting a worker highlighting the fact that an employee is not a tool simply because he’s not an employee, he’s an entrepreneur selling product, his services in this case, in the market. Buy it, or get buyed.<\/p>\n
