bmj.com<\/a>, the British Medical Journal website, has expressed concerns over Google web pages that contain dubious and sometimes dangerous medical claims.<\/p>\n

In an article published on the British Medical Journal website, the doctors cite an alarming example. They recently used Google Italia to search on the keyword “aloe” but found sponsored links with no connection with the subject. The authors argue that the filters need to be improved further.<\/p>

The suggestion seems important because the ordinary people have been given access to the complex medical terms, thanks to Google. Indeed there is plenty of legitimate medical information. But, steps have to be taken to weed out dubious medical claims that are dangerous to the people.<\/p>\n

“We think that a necessary first step for Google is to improve its filters and algorithms so as to prevent possible harm to its users,” the researchers conclude.<\/p>\n
