A phone service company just made an unnecessary connection to the backyard of a naked woman, and it left ASA frowned.<\/p>\n

In its e-mail campaign, Retell Ltd, which sells call management systems, used the image of a naked woman wrapped in chains with an yellow sign over her bottom saying “access denied”.<\/p>\n

Well, sex sells. Again and again. In fact, there is no connection between this image and the projected service.<\/p>

No wonder. There are many examples in which sex was senselessly inserted into the ads. For example, we have seen a different highway through the hot legs of a hot babe <\/a>for a car rental service.<\/p>\n

Anyway, ASA felt that this image is actually demeaning to women, and it implies anal sex.<\/p>\n

But read the funny part<\/p>\n

The company explained that the photograph of the naked woman in chains was chosen because it was the “most striking image available” when they entered the phrase ‘access denied’ into a search on a reputable photograph gallery.

That is a funny part.<\/p>\n

But wait for the funniest part of this news.<\/p>\n

In its defence Retell said that before sending the email it had showed it to three female employees of varying ages and none of whom took offence.<\/em><\/p>\n
